Return Policy

This return policy explains how items requested through the editorial shelf can be returned or exchanged. The goal is to keep the process simple, transparent and respectful of both the reader and the small editorial team in Niagara Falls.

1. What this policy covers

The policy applies to physical items requested through the shelf page (such as the stoneware prep bowl, the compact cutting board or the storage jar set). It does not apply to recipes, articles or other digital content, which are free to read and do not need to be returned.

2. Time window

Requests to return or exchange a physical item should reach us within fourteen days of the day the item was delivered. After that period, we may not be able to accept the request, but we still encourage you to write — there may be a sensible solution.

3. Condition of returned items

To make a return possible, items should be:

  • In their original condition, without scratches, dents or visible wear.
  • Returned with their original packaging where it is reasonable to do so.
  • Free of food residue, oils or other kitchen marks.

If an item arrives damaged, please write to us with a short description and a photo before returning it — we will help arrange the next steps.

4. How to start a return

The process is intentionally short:

  • Send a message through the contact page with the item name, the date you received it and a brief reason.
  • The editorial team will reply within two business days with a return address and instructions.
  • Pack the item carefully and ship it using a tracked service of your choice.

5. Refunds and exchanges

Once the returned item is received and reviewed, we will confirm by email and arrange either an exchange for an alternative size or item, or a refund of the original amount. Refunds are processed using the same method as the original payment whenever possible.

6. Shipping costs

Return shipping costs are usually covered by the customer, except when the return is the result of a clear error on our side (for example, the wrong item was sent or the item arrived damaged). In those cases we will cover the return shipping after a short conversation by email.

7. Items that cannot be returned

Custom-engraved items, gift cards or items marked as final sale are not eligible for return. Where possible, we mark such items clearly on the shelf page before you confirm a request.
